| In western Colorado, Glenwood Canyon leads to the town of Glenwood Springs from the east. This is a nearly dry Colorado River below Shoshone Dam in Glenwood Canyon as it appeared in the early 1970's. The water has been diverted to a power plant and flows back into the river channel below this spot. This picture was taken at about the same time as the picture of the dam in the early 1970's. |
